Optimization of design parameters for SPPC longitudinal dynamics

Abstract As the second stage of CEPC-SPPC project, SPPC (Super Proton-Proton Collider) aims at exploring new physics beyond Standard Model. The key design goal for accelerator complex is to reach 75 TeV in center mass energy with a circumference 100 km collider and an injector chain four accelerators cascade support collider. important part conceptual study, longitudinal beam dynamics was studied systematically, which includes its chain. First, bunch filling scheme designed on basis various constraints such as technical challenges kicker magnets, limited extraction per injection so on. Next, study focused RF meet requirements luminosity mitigate relevant instabilities. A higher harmonic system (800 MHz) together basic (400 form dual-harmonic employed collective instabilities increase by producing shorter bunches. In addition, matchings between bunches different stages were studied, special attention space charge effects loading effect two lower rings (p-RCS MSS), result optimization schemes. set self-consistent parameters obtained. three proton synchrotrons have unprecedented features, thus this demonstrates how future proton-proton looks like.
